White Sands New Mexico has been on my list of nature destinations for ages. So when the folks at the New Mexico Tourism board invited me to hang out in Albuquerque and Santa Fe (see the recap here), I HAD to squeeze White Sands into the itinerary. It ended up being our very first stop. Two hour flight from LA, then a four hour drive south and suddenly we’re on a different planet. It’s so epic! My pal Paige described it best as “the most serene place ever… sensory deprivation and overload at the same time! Magic.” I could not have put it better myself.
