Mexican Food Kick

Resurrecting leftovers for seafood pozole. Mmm #leftoverremixThis corn could change your life (new mexico chile and pickled cilantro seed butter + lime mayo + queso fresco).

Going through my Instagram feed and I think I might need an intervention, guys. It all started with a mole fest/dinner/potluck with friends–old and new–from the Santa Monica Farmers Market and ever since, I’ve been churning out Mexican food like an OG abuela. On a serious kick.

Mexican wedding cookies (with a pepita & orange zest twist) and dulce de leche. It could also have something to do with the giant jars of salsa and tomatillo-avocado sauce that I’ve been working my way though. Or the cervezas and margaritas. Probably the latter.

Espresso spiked tres leches cake (made for a potluck) + Game of Thrones. Happy Monday!Tortilla making--it's taco time!

Anyway, I’m starting the weekend (really) early and hoping to grub on some Kansas City BBQ tomorrow.

ps. How do you pack for lightning storms and 90 degree weather? This Cali girl is clueless.

Pickling fresh cilantro seeds and making a BIG mess.... Whoops!

Coffee tres leches. :) I used Alton Brown's recipe and subbed a can of dulce de leche dissolved in espresso for the half and half.
