New Fruit Discovery: Galia Melon

I scored at the Culver City FM last week when I discovered this little gem. It's called a Galia Melon aka Rocky Sweet. I tried a sample and was instantly sold. Cantaloupe-looking exterior with a green-honey dew interior… so sweet and yummy. I paired it here with some strawberries for a light dessert after a carbalicious pasta dinner. Definitely a nice, new find. It's melon season, so get it while it lasts.

[esto es genial] very pretty! but could it possibly be as delicious as my favorite melon—the juicy, sweet spanish one with the orange stuff on it? never! let me know when you find it…

That one’s a mystery to me. I’ll have to keep my eye out for it, though I think this one would come pretty close. Very cute profile pic. What a pretty dog. Can I pet her? :)
