Wine Tasting in Oregon: Washington County and Greater Portland

All it takes is a quick, 30 minute car ride outside of Portland to be transported to verdant vineyards. Nature as far as the eye can see. For our second installment of my Travel Oregon trip, we’ll be covering a few of the most gorgeous wineries of Washington County and Greater Portland.  If you like pinot noirs, take note.  Oregon has some of the most delicious pinots. Cheers!

First stop was Raptor Ridge. I’m more of a red drinker, but the pinot gris was perfect for the hot day.

Grapes at Montinore just before harvest. These fellas are all grown organically and biodynamically.

The Ponzi tasting room is worth a visit just for the architecture  alone. Brock caught a good shot on his Instagram, here.

And I saved the best (my very favorite) for last–Christopher Bridge Winery! The husband (Chris, pictured above), wife, and kids that run this intimate winery will melt your heart. We had the best time learning about the passion, love, thoughtfulness and magic that goes into each bottle of wine. From the harvesting, to the pressing, to even the bottle art, it’s truly a family affair. My next trip to Oregon, I’m not missing the pear and Gorgonzola pizzas they make in their wood-fired oven.

Thank you, Susanne! We loved visiting your winery and looking forward to returning. Thanks again for the hospitality and all the delicious wine. :) I wanted to tell you that we went to Stickman Brewery that evening and ordered more Christopher Bridge wine.
